Happy October! It’s time to enjoy fall and all that Sarasota has to offer. We’re crossing our fingers for cooler weather, too!

Here are some fun events happening this month:

The beautiful St. Armands circle has a full calendar of events for us to enjoy this month. A few of my favorites are listed below:

St Armands Festivities

Jag Fest  — October 9th: Stop by between 9 am and 4 pm to view the area’s finest Jaguar vehicles, including both antiques and the brand’s latest models. You can learn more about this event and the cars that will be displayed by clicking here.

13th Anniversary Fright Night on St. Armands Circle — October 31st: Come on out Halloween night from 6 to 8:30 pm for themed storefront displays, spooky characters on every corner, and trick or treating for the kids. You can learn more about this fun holiday event here.

Selby Gardens

Some top Selby Gardens events this month include:

The 2021 Orchid Show — Selby Gardens, in collaboration with The Ringling, will bring about an exciting orchid theme for the year — the circus. Stop by to take in the beauty of orchids and art combined starting on October 9th.

Selby Spooktacular — October 31st: Here is another option for Halloween night! Put on your costumes and bring the whole crew to trick or treat, create crafts, and see a few spooky characters along the way.

Nathan Benderson Park

This stunning park has a full calendar of fun events, too:

Yoga in the Park — October 3rd: Whether you’re a yoga expert or a brand-new guest, this live session is perfect for you.

Rec Days — October 6th, 9th, and 30th: Bring the kids for an introduction to paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, and more.

Water Lantern Festival — October 23rd: This unique event was voted Best Cultural Festival by USA Today. It’s one you definitely won’t want to miss!

A few other notable happenings around our city:

Sarasota Oktoberfest — October 15th-17th: Come out for an authentic Oktoberfest experience, filled with live music, mouth-watering food, and big pints of beer. For exact hours, lists of performers, and food varieties, read through this full event page.
