Our own Lakewood Ranch has been labeled as the “hottest market” in the United States after selling an impressive 1535 new homes in the month of June — an 83% increase from the year before.

This huge jump was one positive produced by the pandemic, with buyers finally deciding to grab their dream living space and younger shoppers realizing remote work lets them live in paradise, no matter where their brick-and-mortar headquarters may be.

Not only is our city beautiful, warm, and filled with arts, music, and good eats, it has excellent schools, too. The Sarasota County School District was just named the best in all of Florida, making our community a great place for growing families as well.

Incredible Athletes

Did you know Sarasota is well-represented in the Olympics this year? We have 6 local athletes currently competing in Tokyo. Our own Emma Weyant won the silver medal swimming in the 400 IM, and Mary Tucker took second in the mixed team air rifle event.
