Sarasota, The Place to Be
As always, Sarasota’s lifestyle is at the top of its game. With restaurants, arts, outdoor activities, and incredible weather, there’s always something to keep you having fun.
Check out these new restaurants and events below for just a glimpse of what our amazing community has to offer:
Two New Eats to Try
Sarasota’s new Fish Cake restaurant is on a mission to provide “healthy meals that highlight the flavors of the sea.” Reef Cakes will open as a fast-casual spot on March 1st in Southside Village. They’ll serve upscale entrees made with snapper, grouper, and shrimp.

A second new restaurant, Kojo, is now open on Palm Avenue. It’s run by the well-loved Speaks Clam Bar, though the new spot has a whole new flavor. Their pan-Asian dishes will highlight tastes from Japan, China, and Korea with nori tacos, sushi, and more. Their online wait system makes reservations simple as well.

The Surreal Selby Gardens
Always filled with spectacular beauty, Selby Gardens’ newest exhibit is one you won’t want to miss. “Roy Lichtenstein: Monet’s Garden Goes Pop!” will be available through June 27th, and will showcase rarely-seen pieces inspired by Monet’s work, all displayed in the midst of the incredible green gardens that Selby is well-known for.
Also at Selby, the Master Plan has been officially approved. Over the next several years, the location will break ground on a new Welcome Center, a plant research center complete with herbarium, laboratory, and research library, and a Living Energy Access Facility with parking, a gift shop, a restaurant, and an incredible source of solar power. This already-incredible attraction is just going to get better and better.

Bayfront Park’s “Embracing Our Differences”
This free annual event is on display until April, showcasing 50 stunning, billboard-sized masterpieces from local and international students. Diversity, tolerance, and love are outspoken at the event for all to see, and the outdoor location makes social distancing possible for an extremely safe experience.

An Outstanding Opera
The Sarasota Opera is putting on shorter shows with smaller casts, so fans of live art can still take in a performance or two throughout the 2021 season. The Happy Deception and Maid to Mistress are this spring’s picks.

And The Market to Match
As Sarasota continues to provide this excellent lifestyle, home sales are reflecting the same. Sales are up an outstanding 23.6% in January compared to January 2020, making it the perfect time to list your luxury home. It’s never been a better time to buy, either, with record-low interest rates continuing to serve you well, and a hot market that’s showing no signs of slowing down.

If you’re ready to make Sarasota your home, reach out to me today, and let’s find you your perfect piece of paradise. Or let’s talk as it might be a very advantageous time for you to be a seller! I’m more than happy to help you with each and every one of your real estate needs.
